Running, never standing!

Police Officer of the Year

April 30th, 2007 by gillygirl

My husband came home with some very exciting news… he has been nominated for Rotary’s Police Officer of the Year!  Not only is this great for him but we get to go to a Blacktie dinner - a chance to dress up without kids! Plus dinner and drinks. I’m very excited.

I think this means I need something new to wear, haircut, shoes, the list is endless…

Seriously I’m very proud of him and anyone who has a Police Officer in the family will know how difficult the job is and the long hours they put in. Shift work can be quite hard on families too - especially at holidays such as Christmas. It’s nice to see them get recognised. I’ll keep you updated….
