What do your clothes say about you?
I read an interesting article in the paper today about how the clothes we wear reflect how we feel about ourselves. I don’t know what that says about me at the moment. Life with two boys at home doesn’t readily lend itself to glamour but I do my best! Having said that when I do go out I really try to make an effort.
Apparently it is true that if you look good then you feel good. I do believe this though and it is one of the reasons I started my online store Nuvo Maternity. I had nothing to wear while breastfeeding with my first son but stumbled across nursing wear with my second. Finally something I could look good in and feel comfortable while breastfeeding! It definitely made me feel better to wear something new and fashionable that suited the postbaby bump. So that inspired me to go into business and has open up a whole new world.
What do you wear to make you feel great? Do you have a special outfit you wear to give you a lift or feel confident?

I like to dress up a bit more when I go out - usually something feminine. But like most mums, when I’m home I can be a bit of a dag! I do feel better about myself when I make the effort though.
It’s just getting the time to make the effort more often!
I used to dress up to go to work and dress casually when at home. But now that I’m not teaching at the moment I tend to dress comfortably. But I admit, that I do like to put on a great skirt and my long boots in winter to feel great!!
I’ve got a pair of black boots that I call my confidence boots. It’s like magic… the moment I put them on, I feel like a million dollars. Maybe the style is good for my posture, making me walk tall
I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so I can start wearing them again.
Don’t you love a great pair of killer boots for that confidence boost! Will the weather ever cool down in brissie?
