New Breastfeeding Support Group
After undertaking some research for my online store Nuvo Maternity I have discovered some worrying facts about the lack of support for breastfeeding. A recent article in the Courier Mail found that although around 90% women start breastfeeding this figure falls dramatically by 6 months. The major reasons for stopping early are a lack of support, lack of information and a negative perception of breastfeeding.
Now we all know breastfeeding doesn’t come naturally and can be a challenge at the beginning but with support and correct information it can be a rewarding experience for you and your baby. It’s pretty sad that mums aren’t getting the support they need!
So to address this I have started a mumspace group - Breastfeeding support so please join to get the extra help you need or to help another mum. I hope to include lots of useful information, links and a space for mum to ask other mums for breastfeeding advice. Afterall mums forget they know so much already and have a lot to offer.
Hope to see you there soon!

Great idea…and what a great support for other mums!!
Good on you - and im stoked you have started this group on mumspace.
Maybe we could work together to promote this group for Nuvo Maternity and mumspace? We are looking to make forums available for groups, which will really open up the ways that you and other mums can support other breastfeeding mums? Hmm.. lets start thinking…
